Glitter In The Air

Good afternoon, my Lovelies!  It's Friday and I have so much on my mind that I don't know where to start. By the way, y'all can't give me crap over being a day late because I was traveling all damn day yesterday, and blogging while driving is frowned upon. That being said, just because I couldn't physically blog, doesn't mean that I wasn't having blog thoughts running through my head. Last week's blog was a little heavy, understandably. So I wanted to make this one a little lighter, a little more fun, a little more...more. So as I was driving I got to thinking about firsts and those special moments in time that become etched into our brains, our hearts, our very souls. It is my most sincere hope that all of my readers have experienced something like this at least once throughout their lives. Have you ever felt this? Let me describe what I'm talking about... Let's say you go on a date, whether that's the first, second, or tenth, and this happe

The House That Built Me

Good morning, my Lovelies! How are you? How's life? I hope things are well and that good fortune has looked favorably upon you. I woke bright and early this morning so that I could share with you before the rest of the house woke up. Once they're awake? Complete chaos and I have trouble getting my thoughts together. I apologize in advance, but this is going to be a long one. You see, I'm in Kentucky visiting my parents and there are six of us crammed into a tiny, two-bedroom apartment. So, yes, I'm grateful to be here, grateful for a break from work and my normal day-to-day, grateful for time with my elderly parents, but...chaos, all the same. I wasn't entirely sure how I was going to say all I wanted to say during this particular blog. I told you last week that my hometown was destroyed by a tornado. So let me share my experience with you. The drive from my home to my parents' front door is 908 miles. As we came off the Interstate around midnight you could see

No One Gets Left Behind

Good afternoon, my Lovelies! I know I'm all kinds of late and wrong, but the past week has been unbelievably busy for me. What's happened? Well, there have been birthday celebrations, nights out with friends, work, of course, plus the release of my new book covers for the Cassidy Brothers series! (They are simply amazing!)  Those things alone have kept me hopping. Oh, did I forget to mention that my hometown was pretty much wiped off the map by a tornado? Yeah. That happened. So it's been a rollercoaster of a week for me! I hope your corner of the world has been much calmer and that you are healthy, wealthy, and wise! So, let's revisit this tornado. First, all my family is well and I couldn't be more grateful. My niece's home was destroyed, her car smashed flat as a pancake, and her tractor caught fire, but they are uninjured and that's the most important part. The pictures I have seen are devastating and my heart is broken. To see buildings that I grew up i

Straight From the Heart

Good evening, my Lovelies! Ya good? I sure hope so! It's Friday eve so even if you've had a crappy week, just think about the fact that the weekend is playing peek-a-boo. I promise that will make everything better! I just admitted to my Facebook friends that I didn't think about the fact that it was blog day until about 5:30 this evening. Not. One. Thought. So I'm not entirely certain where this is going to lead, but here we go. First, if you've read my previous blogs you will know that I talk about something I call "heart smiles." What is a heart smile? Shell's Dictionary of Craziness defines it as this: A person, place, thing, or experience that touches you so deeply or profoundly that no matter your mood, no matter your mental state, no matter where you are, and no matter what is going on in your life or around you at that moment, that when you think of them/it, you can't help but smile uncontrollably. If you are lucky, you have an abundance of

Good afternoon, my Lovelies, and happy Friday! (I know. I'm late. What ya gonna do with me?) How's everyone? Good? I hope so, and I hope you have had a wonderful week! I really and truly hope that you've found some reason to have happy thoughts and have been able to share them with those around you. We all need some positive in our lives, and if for some reason you haven't had any lately, then I hope that my crazy ramblings bring some light and laughter to your corner of the world. As usual, I have started, stopped and re-started this blog multiple times today. I keep finding myself veering off the path that I start on and I don't like it! My brain says one thing and my fingers just do whatever the hell they want. So, my blog today is going to be an ass to me. That's ok. Life has been an ass to me lately so I'm used to it. Nothing new to see here. Moving on. So, have you ever wondered if an old flame, an old boyfriend or girlfriend thinks about you? If they
