You're My Best Friend

Good morning, my Lovelies!

Oh, my goodness! I blogged! Actually, I wrote a blog a couple of weeks ago, but I guess I'm too chicken to post it. Maybe it's self-preservation? Whatever. I didn't put my heartbreaking story of deception out into the universe.

Yet.

So, how y'all doin'? I'd like to be able to tell you that I'm well, but my mind hasn't been in the best of places for a few months now. (Reference the story of deception mentioned above.) Other than that and the crushing blow it gave my heart, I'm doing great!

I'm working diligently on Blood Moon Bayou - my spicy murder mystery set in the fantastically amazing city of New Orleans. This story has a bit of everything! There's murder, history, southern ambiance, suspense, and of course, that spicy romance. Want a curvy, kick-ass FBI agent who's sexy as hell and knows she's sexy as hell? I got you. Want an affable, fun-loving male character who turns into a bit of a pleasure-dominant in the bedroom? I got you!

On to other things, I've gone back to work! It wasn't what I really wanted to do, but so far things are working out well, and I have some cash flow again. Yay! I'm also really working on my photography and have started several social media accounts to share my work. I'm also looking into adding my photos to my website so you can purchase anything that catches your eye!

What did I want to talk to you about today?

Best friends. Specifically, the dynamic between a male and female best friend.

Ladies, ladies, ladies!!! If you don't have a male best friend who is just that, get you one!

I have some amazing ladies in my life that I consider my best friends, and I love and adore each of them. They are some of the best of the best! But there is just something about my male best friend - the only male best friend I have - that gives me the balance I need in my life.

Is he more than a best friend? No. Absolutely not. We had a talk and decided years and years ago that we wanted to be friends - nothing more. Other options were just not anything we were interested in pursuing. We're always there for each other - no matter how busy we are. He gives me great advice, and I'm his sounding board. Also, he's the one who approves/disapproves of all my boob pics. Yes, he's seen those, and I highly suggest to my lady friends that if you're going to post pics like that, a male best friend to approve those photos and tell you what works/doesn't work, is priceless. He's funny. He's caring. He's amazing!

We have some great conversations and lots of fun. We have been through some incredibly difficult times together and some incredibly wonderful times together. I'm sure there are people who assume so much about our relationship, but it is such a different and much-needed dynamic.

I wouldn't trade him for the world!

Good morning, my Lovelies! How are you? How's life? I hope things are well and that good fortune has looked favorably upon you.
